Established in Vancouver BC in 1996, a group of psychoanalytically oriented
clinicians formed the WCPPA
with the main objective of making psychoanalytic psychotherapy knowledge
more available to interested professionals and the community at large in
Western Canada.
Mental health, health, and human services professionals from all academic
disciplines are welcome.
The WCPPA
has as its main goals, the active support of the examination and
discussion of a full variety of approaches to the theory and practice of
psychoanalytic psychotherapy and the provision of opportunities for study
through meetings on clinical topics, courses, forums, workshops and study
groups.
The WCPPA
promotes the growth of the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy and
maintains links with professionals and groups of complementary
professionals in other geographical areas. |
